South Tyneside Council
We’re delighted to be supporting South Tyneside Council and providing Project Management services across two important housing developments at Lizard Lane and Reynolds Avenue.
Together, the schemes will deliver 29 new homes for social rent, including 12 homes at Lizard Lane, Marsden, and 17 Passivhaus-standard homes at Reynolds Avenue, South Shields.
Both developments form an important part of the Council’s commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable housing while meeting local housing demand and creating safe, connected communities.
Sustainability is at the heart of both schemes, with the developments designed to achieve high environmental standards, helping to reduce energy consumption and household bills while supporting wider carbon reduction objectives. Reynolds Avenue will deliver the borough’s first homes certified to the international Passivhaus Standard, while Lizard Lane will incorporate technologies including solar panels, battery storage and electric vehicle charging facilities.

“Construction is progressing well across both sites, with the projects now entering the superstructure phase. Roof trusses are currently being installed, representing a significant milestone in the build programme and bringing these developments closer to delivering much-needed affordable homes for local residents.
