Project Handover – New College Durham
We’re delighted to announce the practical completion and handover of a fantastic new facility at New College Durham – a state-of-the-art artificial grass pitch that marks a major upgrade for the College’s sports provision.
Delivered by Cleveland Land Services, the new pitch meets FIFA standards, offering year-round playability and eliminating the issues of waterlogging and winter deterioration that affected the previous surface. This upgrade will not only benefit students but also the wider community, with the pitch available for hire – from 5-a-side children’s games to full 11-a-side professional matches, thanks to its FA-accredited design and specification.
Paul Bradley, Chief Finance Officer at New College Durham said: “Logistically this has been a challenging project for the College, and we would like to thank the whole project team, including Dome for their excellent project management and cost advice, for delivering this project both on time and on budget. The project has been delivered in line with our expectations and in a very timely fashion with no unexpected delays. A great project to be involved with and the final product is brilliant.”
